Lord of the West is the tenative title for my current 'in the works' novel about the infamous egyptian cowboy my close friends have all known and come to love named Anubis.
The story mixes a wonderful cast of characters that blend both the old world mysteries and legendsof Egypt, and joined it's flavor into a rich tale that takes place into the gun blazing American Wild West. (The year is late 1800s/early 1900s)
This is where a cursed Ancient Egyptian takes up saddle and spurs, dawns a cowboy hat and reigns in all sorts of fun adventures! The key to the story is discovering the story of Anubis, his curse and history- and finding a little love, adventure, and the cure to his immortality,( that of which can be sought within the ancient writings found only in the American Wild West!)
Female lead, Prudence Baggerfield, was shocked after reading a newspaper article about the find of ancient Heirogylphics exsisting in the American West. Her fiance believes it's a haux, and she agrees it could be, but takes her chances to journey there anyways- hoping to find the answers. If the find IS true, she could find herself being apart of one of the greatest discoveries of man kind.
Prue, an Egyptologist (and a dreamer of adventure, a book worm extroidinaire!), soon finds herself a gun-slinging cowboy as her sidekick and partner in crime.....
She's apalled this rugged American is the one responsible for the find.....
but bares with his personality quirks in hopes that she'll find what she seeks.
And there's more to learn once the novel is ready and published!
I've already begun digging and writing up the perfect first chapter for this very original piece of fiction.
You have adventure.
You have romance.
And you have a gun slinging, ancient Egyptian cowboy- who has more secrets than the mind can concieve!
(Did I mention he's been cursed atleast two times in his life?)
That's right kiddos, Anubis has the curse of the Soul of a Train...
and he can only thank his trespasses agaisnt the natives of America for that!
(The curse of the train is what my demoreel is! So I hope this explains a little into the story of what concieved that!)
It's a book that's all sorts of fun, directing a general audience to most members of the family.
It will be a good, delicious read and I'll make it worth your time.
The world needs to read this.
And I aim to share it.
Because it would take to long to draw out such an illustrious and most epic of tales, I'm sticking to another love of mine and actually sticking my guns to writing up a novel- atleast one to be worth publishing within my life time.
So here world, this one's for you.
Once I have the time, the website will be located here: http://www.lordofthewest.com
