Marker Man Release Date!

The video game that started my career in the industry- one that I can boastfully and proudly declare as 'mine' (as far as all art assets are concerned) will be released next month for the Nintendo Ds!
Marker Man Adventures is slowly creeping it's way to shelves (finally).
It's my baby- so I have to promote it.
It was a lot of fun and the style is pure and silly and of course, all mine!

Interested in Marker Man?
Keep posted with it's release via our Publisher's website:

The Dreamer

I had to make a post here about a wonderful author and artist whom I found out about online via Deviant art.
She's a great inspiration for someone such as myself, for she is someone who truly made her dreams come true and it's thanks to women like her that I am inspired.

Her name is Lora Innes and her story is about mixing two time periods- Present day with 1776 where a young teenager named Bea lives a dual reality through her present day high school dramas to her dreams about the American revolution.
The story is just delicious as is the artwork!
Please check her stuff out!

Check out the website!

There you can find more information about the story and comic if you're interested in purchasing/reading it.

I'm a supporter, so I could not wait to get my hands on the graphic novel when it got released this month!
This goes to show, that indeed hard work and dedication can pull off- and Any Dream can come true (maybe even love for a girl in 2009 and a boy in 1776...?)
Below is her graphic novel on display! Congrats Lorra Innes!

This is truly amazing!

Publishing Update

Well, I'm finally starting to do more thorough research on publishing.
Probably going to do self publishing at first, and hopefully will gain enough momentum with my book to bring it up to some of the bigger publishers in hopes of a publishing gig.
The trilogy is going smoothly!
Doing some more research to make sure my book is as historically correct as it can be, while also maintaining the obvious, fantastical liberties of this sort of genre.

So for any of you out there they may anticipate the book- give me sometime to write it- but please know I can completely assure you on your reader's satisfaction.
I love drama, adventure, mystery and the fantastic-
So you can expect it all, as well as characters you can grow to love.
I can only hope for great things as I have been so enthusiastic over the novel's primary design for over five years now.
It's exciting to think I'm growing ever closer to beginning to write-
Which only means I'm drawing closer to it's end!
Meaning it will be on the shelves sooner than I think (but not too soon!)

Thanks to all my supporters so early on- a lot of my close loved ones get to hear an earful of me as I become completely submerged into my story.

This story has haunted me from too long, and soon it will be shared with the world.

Dreamer

I realize I keep my mind in the clouds more often than in the ground. I can't help it. Any second i get, my mind is wondering off to another world, creating stories, thoughts and ideas.
I can't complain too much, except for the fact this allows me to 'over-think' quite a lot, which is not entirely a good thing.
That aside, I'm excited!
I can feel myself growing nearer to a realistic starting point on my books.
I really think I have something very creative and unique and I hope that after paying careful attention to detail- I will be able to proudly boast my book on the market.
For now I'm doing this for me, it's something I've always wanted to do.
I like to keep my ambitions high - and why not?
I like a challenge and I'm very proud of my book, my ideas and where I'm at in life.
Being a dreamer might be silly to some, but oh- how it can be so magnificent to be sitting there- ut you mind will take you to whole other worlds.

Making Changes!

So a lot has happened to me! Figured I'd post about the happy occasion..
I got married!
May 9, 2009!
Now Jennifer Schricker is officially 'Jennifer Roland.'

The beginnings of my Book

I've posted before that I've been working off this one idea for several years into publishing it as a book. Well, just a few minutes ago I finished the first draft outline of the book- or should I say books? Yes, that's right, I aim to publish a 3 book series! It worked out perfectly into thirds, with book one almost completely refined in it's outline state, and the other two needing some minor readjustments, but the bulk of it is there with a very solid story at it's core.
Hopefully, I'll be able to post more soon about the book as I move into contacting publishers about my book. I aim to self publish, at least at first.
The tentative title of the series: Lord of the West
